How to Do the Line Activation

The Line Activation is a daily practice of movement and breath that I was given in 2018. During my very first (and last) Kundalini Yoga class, only a few minutes into Breath of Fire, my body began to move on its own. In that moment, I heard a voice say: This is the Line Activation. This is what you will teach.

This practice gently prepares the body for Kundalini awakening. It awakens the Sushumna Nadi, the central channel of light that runs along the spine, and it brings harmony to the Ida and Pingala Nadis — the feminine and masculine energies within.

The most important part is consistency. When you practice the Line Activation every day, it strengthens, balances, and prepares your body and energy in ways that build over time. In the video above, you can watch and learn how to do it for yourself.

What is the Line?

The Line is the Sushumna Nadi — the central channel of light that runs along the spine, from the root (Muladhara) to the crown (Sahasrara).

In yogic science, this channel is the pathway through which kundalini energy rises when awakened, bringing the union of Shakti energy and Shiva consciousness. It is often described as the river of light or the pathway of liberation within the subtle body.

The Line lives within all of us. Dormant until the kundalini activation process begins, it marks the true beginning of the spiritual path.

All of our work at A Line Within supports you in gently preparing for this awakening. Through the Line Activation, the energetic and physical bodies are readied for the Sushumna Nadi to open. When this happens, gifts rise naturally and effortlessly.

  • Your intuition sharpens.

  • Your connection to Truth deepens.

  • You begin to walk the path toward liberation.

Whether this awakening happens gradually, suddenly, or even in a moment that feels spontaneous, your soul has always been preparing — often for lifetimes. When the Line opens, you are stepping into what you came here to live.
